From 1 July 2009, most of the Australian workforce will be covered by the new National workplace relations system.

The introduction of the Fair Work Act 2009 has significantly changed industrial relations laws in Australia. Changes include the integration of the National Award system, implementation of the National Employment Standards and new Unfair Dismissal provisions.

Do the changes apply to me?

The new workplace relations system generally applies to ‘national system’ employers and their employees (i.e. a Constitutional Corporation – Pty Ltd companies).
