Role of the Board

The Australian Hotels Association (WA) is governed by a Board of Directors. The role of the Board is to provide leadership, strategic guidance, and oversight of management’s implementation of strategic initiatives. The Board oversees strategic direction, financial and risk management, regulatory compliance, annual returns, auditor appointments, and upholds ethical standards, in line with Association rules and statutory obligations under relevant industrial relations legislation. In performing its role, the Board determines Association policy and ensures that the organisation aspires to excellence in governance standards.
