Head Head Chef, Michael Hill, Tall Timbers

Tall Timbers, of Manjimup, is the winner of the AHA’s Best Country WA Steak Sandwich for 2016.

Head Chef Michael Hill attributed the win to the use of local produce from the South West. Tall Timbers was a clear standout, with the score clearly reflecting the win.

As usual the judges were looking for a steak sandwich that displayed superior ‘fangability’ – a term used to describe the ease of which one’s teeth can sink into a juicy, succulent and flavoursome steak sandwich. One of the finalists this year even included buffalo as the meat of choice.
