24 March 2026 | The Australian Hotels Association (WA) is calling on the public to help decide the state’s best cocktail, with voting now open for the 2026 AHA & Don Julio WA’s Best Cocktail Competition.
More than 25 venues are competing with their signature cocktails in this high-energy, state-wide contest to be named WA’s best.
Finalists will be determined through a combination of public voting and mystery judge visits. The top four will then face off in a live mix-off, judged in front of peers by an expert panel on taste, presentation, authenticity and creativity, story, and promotion and price.
AHA(WA) CEO Bradley Woods said the competition, now in its fourth year, shines a spotlight on the talent and innovation behind WA bars.
“Western Australia’s hospitality industry is home to some of the country’s most creative cocktail makers,” Mr Woods said.
“The WA’s Best Cocktail Competition is an opportunity to celebrate this skill, share the stories behind each drink, and showcase the originality our venues deliver.
“We encourage everyone to visit the venues taking part, try their cocktails, vote for their favourite venue and help them secure a spot in the live finals.”
Every customer who votes goes into the draw to win a $500 venue voucher. Ts&Cs apply.
