10 June 2026 | Australian Hotels Association (WA) CEO Bradley Woods AM has been appointed a Member of the Order of Australia in the 2026 King’s Birthday Honours List for significant service to the tourism and hospitality industry, and to the community of Western Australia.
The honour recognises nearly three decades of leadership and advocacy on behalf of Western Australia’s hotel, hospitality, accommodation and tourism sectors.
Since becoming CEO of the AHA(WA) in 1998, Bradley has been one of Australia’s leading voices for the industry, helping shape public policy, champion business growth and guide operators through periods of significant change and challenge, including the COVID-19 pandemic.
AHA(WA) President Neil Randall said the appointment was a fitting recognition of Bradley’s long-standing contribution to an industry that employs tens of thousands of Western Australians and plays a vital role in the state’s economy and visitor experience.
“For almost 30 years, Bradley has been a tireless advocate for hospitality, tourism and accommodation businesses across Western Australia,” Mr Randall said.
“His leadership has ensured our industry has had a strong voice in government, in the media and across the community, particularly during periods of major reform, disruption and recovery.
“Bradley’s contribution extends well beyond hospitality. Through his involvement in business, education, community and charitable organisations, he has made an extraordinary contribution to Western Australia.”
In addition to leading the AHA(WA), Bradley serves as Adjunct Associate Professor at Edith Cowan University School of Business and Law, Chair of Business Events Perth, Chair of Auspire – Australia Day Council WA, and Chair of Hospitality Group Training WA. He also contributes to a range of community and charitable organisations.
Mr Woods said he was deeply honoured by the recognition.
“This honour is not mine alone. It reflects the collective effort of dedicated teams, boards, members, industry partners, colleagues, educators and community organisations who share a commitment to a strong, sustainable and successful tourism and hospitality sector,” he said.
“I have been fortunate to work alongside extraordinary people across the Australian Hotels Association and the wider tourism, hospitality and community sectors, and I am grateful to all who have supported me along the way.”
The AHA(WA) congratulates Bradley on this well-deserved recognition and thanks him for his enduring commitment to the industry’s success and to the broader Western Australian community.
